Statement on Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Report on Law Enforcement Response to Robb Elementary School Attack – The Gilmer Mirror

HOUSTON – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick released this statement today following the release of the ALERRT report into the law enforcement response to the attack on Robb Elementary School in Uvalde:

“ALERRT’s 26-page report detailing the attack on Robb Elementary School was very difficult for me to read today, as it will be for all Texans. This report is the first official report made public on the timeline of events of that tragic day. There will be reports from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Texas Rangers and the District Attorney in the weeks and months to come.

“These reports will contain information based on hundreds of interviews of people present at the scene that day. Each interview will be matched with other interviews if there are differences and matched with the audio evidence and timeline video.

“The ALERRT report corroborates testimony by Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Director Steve McCraw before the Senate Special Committee to Protect All Texans several weeks ago. This public testimony and official report clarifies what really happened during the attack. I urge Texans to read the report for themselves so they know the truth. In the Senate, we will continue to hold all of our hearings on this event and all matters in public. »

The report can be downloaded from the ALERRT website, here.
