Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju will launch an online course on Indian Constitution today at Bhim Auditorium, Dr. Ambedkar International Center (DAIC), 15, Janpath, New Delhi in collaboration with the National Academy of Legal Studies & Research (NALSAR), University of Law. The course will be launched on the eve of “Constitution Day”.
Registration for this course is free. However, for those who wish to obtain a certificate of appreciation or a certificate of achievement, a nominal fee of ₹100 will be charged, according to an official statement.
“Keeping in mind the essence of the online course, the occasion will also see widespread and enthusiastic participation from students, professors and senior officials from India’s leading law universities,” the statement added.
After registering, candidates can learn about the text of the Constitution and major cases, identify fundamental policy choices embodied in the Constitution, examine historical development, and understand the post-independence constitutional journey, through a series of 15 concept videos.
The online course will be available at legalaffairs.nalsar.ac.in.
SPS Baghel, Minister of State for Law and Justice; Anoop Kumar Mendiratta, Secretary of the Department of Legal Affairs and Secretaries of the Legislative Department of the Department of Justice along with other senior officials of the Ministry of Law and Justice and Prof. (Dr) Faizan Mustafa, Vice Chancellor of the NALSAR University of Law be present at the launch event.
